Mozilla FireFox 3.0.1 Problem.

Posted By Chris

FireFox 2 as installed on my PC decided that it wanted to be updated.
I told the program, OK if that is what you want and I should do, go ahead.
And then it happened.
And then I Googled for it.

Yes, I too had problems.
I had my own home page.
When I start my PC and starting Firefox, my home page did show
properly.
But, after using the links ( and other links) all of a sudden my home
page would not show. Instead there was a complete blank page.
There was no way to get my home page to show unless I rebooted.

I finally got sick and tired of this and found a copy of FireFox
2.0.0.16 on the web.
I un-installed version 3.0.1 and installed version 2.0.0.16 and all is
well.

You can download any version of FireFox Here at filehippo.com

Wireless Power

Posted By Chris

And now all the buzz is about WIRELESS POWER.

Well, I have to tell you, that was invented by Nikolas Tesla 100 years ago!
I hope I have the name correct.

My father told me that in 1938!
That is 70 years ago when I was about 10 years old.
He was a shoemaker and shoe repairer but read and knew about all those things.
The only remark he had was “That will never be commercially available, the providers can’t control the use. Any one with a bit of knowledge how that works can tap into the free power.”

Also, during WW2 I used wireless power.
Yes, I did use wireless power.
I built a crystal radio with a headphone!
No electricity in any form, not wires no batteries and I could listen to the BBC whilst sitting somewhere in a room in Rotterdam during the war years.

Thanks to Rochen.com

Posted By Chris

At Rochen.com is where I host my sites.
This morning I found that I had a problem with Jo ’s mail and web pages.
I soon found out that the name was still pointing to the correct address but that the site was not available.
Checking the account I found that all had disappeared.
A ticket to Rochen support and in a few minutes flat, all was back and working again.
Thanks Rochen!

Holland < - > Australia in 3 days.

Posted By Chris

I just have to share this on this day.
Today the Sengers’ will finish their 47th year in Australia since leaving Holland.
We left everything behind by leaving Rotterdam in the morning of the 15th of July 1961 and we arrived here in Sydney just before 12 midnight on the 18th of July 1961.
That was a trip that should have been just over a day but took us almost 3 days.
The trip was very eventful.
Firstly an engine had to be replaced in Rome and we were put into a hotel for one night very close to the Vatican.
In Karachi we were all ushered from the plane and taken to refreshment rooms with showers etc. and then taken to an beautiful outdoor restaurant were we had dinner.
After dinner, back to the plane.
Why this was done was never explained to us.
All went reasonable well until the plane landed in Biak (now part of Indonesia) were the plane had a blow-out of one of the tyres.
It was quite an exiting sight.
All passenger that were still left to continue to Australia standing around the plane and watching the staff replacing a wheel by kerosene torch light!
It took most of the night till we would continue.
We arrived in Sydney after the landing curfew but because the plane was almost 3 days overdue, it was allowed to land anyway.
All passengers had to wait till the people from immigration and customs arrived and again, that took some time.
But, we did arrive safely.

Google does look at my site…

Posted By Chris

Since changing, updating my sites, I noticed that google is very quick in changing their database,
I made some changes here and there and now, when looking for the keywords, I see the new domains appearing within the first page.
Not all the time.
It seems that Google uses more than 1 database and it depends which one you get connected to.

stanboomplus.com and pageshere.com seem to get placed a bit better.
And again, will keep my fingers crossed!

Adieu Google?

Posted By Chris

Maybe I “spoke” too soon.
But I did say I keep my fingers crossed.
Well, that was 2 days ago.
And again, Google in their wisdom put my site www.sengers-au.com somewhere in a spot that can’t be found.
Ah well, I don’t have to live of the income that one can generate with web-sites.

The Sengers stamboom/ familytree is now also at stamboomplus.com

Sengers is back on Google..

Posted By Chris

Well, that did not take long.
I wrote a little note to Google about the Sengers site disappearing from the first result pages.
Guess what, I am back again.
The link to Sengers is back again on the first page.
Don’t know if it will keep that position but I keep my fingers crossed.

I have been working on re-adjusting all the related family trees.
There is now :
Kagchelland
Wielema and
Hille
The Sengers will also be re-adusted very soon.

Ah, mr Google

Posted By Chris

Mr. Google, what have you done?
Or is it maybe what I have done?

My website was very well placed in result pages.
Not any longer since sometime last week, just after I started this Wordpress Blog.

I lost all placings for my keywords used for my pages at www.sengers-au.com for my main keyword like Sengers, Stamboom, Kwartierstaat, Synaxarium.
These keyewords were wel placed on page 1 but now, who knows.

I hope the many people who want to foind
